Bill Stockting is currently responsible for the cataloguing of the specalist collections processed at the Library's St Pancras site including archives, manuscripts, early print, music and foreign language print. Formerly he led the development of the Integrated Archives and Manuscripts System (IAMS) for cataloguing the Library's archive and manuscript collections.

Previously Bill worked at the UK National Archives where he managed the Online Catalogue and that for the Access to Archives Programme (A2A). Bill is an internationally acknowledged expert on archival description and the online access to archival information and is currently International Co-Chair of Society of American Archivists’ Technical Sub-committee for Encoded Archival Description (EAD) and a member of the ICA's Expert Group on Archival Description (EGAD).
