Lauren is the Archivist for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a position held since 2013. During her short tenure, she has overseen several initiatives in the State Farm Archive including: directional strategy for Company Heritage Unit and addition of staff, storeroom reorganization, development of digital asset management practices, a collection policy manual, and retooling the Unit’s mission statement.

Lauren has her BA in Art History and Fine Arts from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She has her MA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her areas of study were history, mathematics, and philosophy.

While earning her degrees Lauren held numerous museum intern positions. These internships focused on collection care, curatorial projects, and education in museum settings.

As a professional she has held the position of museum registrar, where she coordinated large-scale art exhibits and oversaw major collection projects for historical societies and museums in Manhattan.

She is currently a member of the Society of American Archivists, Business Archivists Section Member of SAA, Chicago Area Archivists and American Alliance of Museums Registrar’s Committee.
