Baltimore, MD
I am originally from Madison, Indiana and graduated from Ball State University in 1991 with a Bachelors in History and a minor in Anthropology. After working at the Indiana Historical Society during my junior and senior years in college, I became interested in the Archives profession. I attended the University of South Carolina focusing on Applied History, Archives Administration with a Museum Studies Certificate and graduated in 1994. During graduate school, I worked at McKissick Museum in the USC Archives, the South Caroliniana Library and the South Carolina State Archives. After graduation, I worked on a grant project at the Baltimore Museum of Industry processing the papers of the Canton Company. Upon completion of the grant, I began working in 1996 at the Alan Mason Chesney Medical Archives of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. I have been there for almost 20 years and am in charge of reference services and also of the material culture collections.
