SESSION 504 - Doing More by Doing Less: Stopping Programs Without Regret

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

As repositories struggle to maintain services with reduced resources or add to services without increased resources, doing more with less becomes unsustainable. Panelists discuss their experiences with doing more by doing less, discontinuing activities at their institutions to improve existing functions or add new ones. From processing freezes and ceasing microfilming services to dissolving a library AV department, and even relocating an entire repository, the panelists address a wide variety of organizational changes with practical advice.
