What are the roles of  archivists and archival documents when people are seeking truth and reconciliation as a redress for past harm? The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) on Residential Schools in Canada has gathered survivors’ testimonies and documents from churches and the government.  The University of Manitoba will house these records. Can such records become the basis for seeking truth, and can archivists be agents for change in a reconciliation between those who are abused and society?
