Documenting local music scenes brings unique challenges for archivists. Take the opportunity to learn from the real-world experiences of our lightning talk speakers, representing local music documentation efforts from around the nation.  Discussion covers such issues as crossing the divides between institutions and communities, engaging with local musicians and music businesses, documentation strategies, donor relations, building sustainable programs, conducting oral histories, partnering with other organizations, and providing access to musical and music-related materials.
