New Zealand
Elizabeth Charlton is the Province Archivist for the Society of Mary in New Zealand, a congregation of Roman Catholic priests and brothers. As a lone arranger, all archival management functions are incumbent upon her and it is in this position that her interest in digital archives was awakened. The 2014 scholarship from the Ian McLean Wards Memorial Trust enabled her to undertake study in this area. Elizabeth is the Vice President of the Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ). She holds a Diploma in Records and Information Management from the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand in addition to a M.Ed. in Teaching Languages other than English from Monash University, Australia, a Diploma of Teaching from Auckland College of Education and a B.A. in Modern Languages and Linguistics from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
