Carolyn Hansen is Metadata Librarian at the University of Cincinnati, where her responsibilities include the creation and management of metadata for library materials and digital collections. She has previously worked for Eastern Washington University, the Brooklyn Historical Society, ProQuest, and the American Geographical Society Library. She holds the DAS Certificate, an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and an MA in European History from Marquette University. Carolyn is currently involved in BIBFRAME and linked data initiatives and is co-chair of the ALCTS/LITA MARC Formats Transition Interest Group.
